We at Marie’s based in Gravesend are immensely proud of our Loose Leaf Natural Tea and Herbs Selection you may have seen our collection grow over the last 6 years. This means we have something to suit everyone’s tastes. We have worked hard to maintain out ethics in regard to being a living wage employer, reducing our carbon footprint and a major reduction in plastic use.

But more about our Loose Leaf Natural range

Our loose-leaf range is not adulterated in any way – at no point in the manufacturing process is anything added. The loose leaf that you drink is quite simply just dried leaves/ingredients and therefore totally natural.

We stock a variety of black tea, (All but builders’ breakfast are Orange pekoe) blue or Oolongred or rooiboswhitegreen including match along with fruit and herbal infusions. All with a selection of taste notes from citrus, chocolate, fruit, spice floral and so many more.

Want to try them all? Take a look at our tea club!

The ethical sourcing of tea is taken very seriously at Marie‘s, and will only work with others that have the high standards we have. As the majority of tea estates are not only located in rural parts of the world, but are also very labour intensive, a tea estate is run more like a small settlement. As with any village or small town, the infrastructure must be such that the population is supported. Which means schools, housing, transport, hospitals, crèches, electricity, running water and social activities must all be provided. The tea estate itself will usually provide all these services either free of charge or heavily subsidised to ensure the workforce is beyond the minimum levels required by local laws.
