Fossils - Ammonite Pair (6-7cm)
Class: Cephalopoda Subclass: Ammonidea Order: Goniatitda Genus: Goniatites Age: Late Devonian to Late Triassic (409-205 million years ago) Location: Northern Hemisphere Details: Goniatites were an older species of Ammonite found across the northern hemisphere. Ammonites were an ancient group of cephalopods, not too distantly related to squid and octopus. Formation: After millions of years of compression, the shells of long dead Ammonites turn to stone, this process is called fossilization. It is believed that Goniatites are a very powerful earth-Metaphysical fossil. Its spiral shape symbolizes continual change and evolution. Goniatites shells are said to have absorbed cosmic energy over eons of time and help to stimulate the life force (Chi) within. Goniatites are often used for activating Kundalini and life path energies. Goniatites draw off all negative energies. Think of the Goniatites spirals as a filter, drawing in these dense energies which are no longer needed.
